A moment in the Stars (ages 3–4) class

Three is the “I can do it” age. In the Stars class you see children putting on their own coats and carrying their own plates; we wait beside them.

Class corners

Block corner, home corner, book corner and art table. Children move between corners by their own choice during the day while the teacher works with small groups.

Art time

Two mornings a week with big sheets of paper and paint. The process matters, not the product: the child holds the brush and chooses the colour. Pictures go home at the end of the month.
